ALL EDGE: What prompted you to start an edge band?
MIKE: I wanted to sing for a band so I found some other kids who wanted to do a band. It just so happened that Straight Edge was something we all shared.
ALL EDGE: Are there any particular drug/alcohol issues that you'd like to discuss?
MIKE: I think the whole world is bat-shit crazy and so close to being fucked for good that everyone accepts drugs and alcohol as a great "tool" to help people face their problems. That's bullshit. That line of thinking has killed a lot of people. The way you live your life can affect those around you, whether it's that one time you decide to drive drunk or that one time you decide to do whatever drug you're partial to.
ALL EDGE: What is your edge scene like?
MIKE: Reno is how I think it should be - people getting along and having fun, Straight Edge or not Straight Edge. Fuck division. Hardcore shouldn't have this line drawn down the middle, Edge on one side, not Edge on the other. What the fuck kind of good would that do anyone?
ALL EDGE: What are some of your favorite edge bands?
MIKE: Clear, Earth Crisis, Strife, xTyrantx, Harms Way...the list goes on and on.
ALL EDGE: What is coming up for you?
MIKE: Recording a new (and completely different sounding) record, a tour down in Mexico with Ultima Victima and touring the U.S. come summer/late spring.
